1. Introduction

ExpertBuddy is a digital platform offering academic tutoring, mentoring, and homework help services. Our aim is to connect qualified, verified tutors with students across the globe for seamless one-on-one and group learning. We strive to uphold academic integrity and transparency.

These Terms govern your use of all content, features, and functionalities offered through our Platform.

2. Eligibility & Account Responsibility

  • You must be at least 18 years old or use the Platform under parental/guardian supervision.
  • Users must create an account with accurate and complete information. Falsifying credentials may lead to immediate termination.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password.

3. User Conduct and Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the Platform in any way, including but not limited to:

  • Submitting tutor-provided solutions as your own work for academic credit (i.e. plagiarism or cheating).
  • Using homework help for assignments/tests where external assistance is forbidden.
  • Abusing, harassing, or threatening tutors, staff, or other users.
  • Posting or transmitting any inappropriate, illegal, or harmful content.

ExpertBuddy supports academic integrity. Any violation may result in immediate suspension and legal reporting to institutions if required.

4. Tutor & Student Responsibilities

Tutors must:

  • Be honest about their qualifications and availability.
  • Provide professional, accurate, and timely services.
  • Not engage in or encourage academic misconduct.

Students/Parents must:

  • Use solutions and sessions only for learning and reference.
  • Provide complete and accurate queries or expectations.
  • Avoid sharing fake or misleading academic requests.

5. Payments, Refunds & Pricing

  • Pricing for tutoring or assignment help is communicated before the session or delivery begins.
  • Payment must be made upfront via authorized payment gateways.

Refunds may be granted if:

  • A tutor fails to deliver services
  • A technical issue on our end disrupts the session
  • The student raises a valid request within 48 hours of the session or delivery

Refunds are not granted for:

  • Change of mind
  • Student no-shows
  • Violation of academic integrity terms

6. Subscription & Promotional Communication

By registering or subscribing, you:

  • Agree to receive service-related and promotional communications via email, SMS, or WhatsApp.
  • May unsubscribe at any time through account settings or by contacting support.

7. Intellectual Property Rights

All website content, branding, materials, session recordings, and written solutions remain the exclusive property of ExpertBuddy or its licensors.

You may not:

  • Copy, distribute, modify, or sell any content from the platform.
  • Use any tutor-generated content for commercial purposes without prior written consent.

8. Limitation of Liability

While we strive to ensure high-quality service, we do not guarantee 100% accuracy or academic results.

ExpertBuddy is not liable for losses resulting from:

  • Misinterpretation of content
  • Improper use of our services
  • Delays or disruptions beyond our control

9. Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or permanently terminate your access to the Platform if you:

  • Breach these Terms or our academic policy
  • Engage in fraudulent, abusive, or illegal behavior
  • Cause reputational or operational harm to the platform

We reserve the right to retain or delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
